An artist cannot fail; it is a success to be one. – Charles Horton Cooley

Sheree-Monique is a versatile artist and entrepreneur who began acting professionally in musical theatre in Philadelphia at the age of 12.  One of the highlights of her early years was being featured in a music video of one of her favorite vocalists, Regina Belle, entitled If I Could. After starring in several high school drama productions, being inducted into the International Thespian Society, and studying acting on scholarship in college she found a second interest in college radio and became an on-air personality and Program Director.

That experience prompted her to pursue an internship – and then a job – at Philadelphia’s urban radio station, Power 99fm where she took on a variety of roles on and off-air that allowed her to hone her skills as a producer and event host.  Working in radio gave her access to music industry connections that took notice of her songwriting talent and it wasn’t long before she was penning R&B and Pop songs for various production companies and independent labels in New York, VA, and Atlanta.  Inspired by the positive reception of her work she co-founded a music production venture and recording studio that she managed for several years before returning to the theatrical stage.

Her return to performing full-time would take her around the world, touring with companies such as Royal Caribbean Productions and Star Entertainment.  She became a member of Actors’ Equity Association and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (prior to its merger with SAG) and starred in various regional theatrical productions such as Ain’t Misbehavin’, Black Nativity, Dreamgirls and The Arabian Nights in addition to appearing in several television commercials and independent films.  She continued to work as an independent songwriter and vocal producer,  collaborating with indie musicians and production squads such as  Noizetrip (Black Eyed Peas, Fergie, The Roots) between gigs and tours.

Changes in focus, along with a longing for the stability often absent in a full-time artistic career, prompted her to move to Atlanta. There, she delved into business opportunities, tied the knot, and put down roots. Her passion for travel, a lifelong love, is now being captured through documented journeys with her husband. Currently, she is reconnecting with her creative energy and eagerly penning the pages of her next chapter.
