It’s been a year, hasn’t it? As we push through the final quarter, it’s a good time to pause and reflect on everything that’s happened so far. Maybe you’ve hit some major milestones or made a few unexpected detours. Either way, now’s the time to assess. What went right? What could’ve been better? More importantly, how can you end the year with a bang? With 2025 just around the corner, now is the perfect time to start thinking about how you’re going to level up next year.
Here are five things you can do right now to end the year strong and prepare for your best year yet:
Count the Wins
It’s easy to focus on what’s left undone, but how often do you give yourself credit for what you have accomplished? Stop. Take a minute. Count those wins—big and small. Maybe you nailed that work project, finally tackled your home improvement list, or made some strides in your personal growth. Write them down, and don’t forget to celebrate the lessons learned too. The setbacks? They taught you just as much as the successes.
Pick One Thing
You might have set a bunch of goals back in January, some of which are collecting dust on the shelf by now, and that’s okay. But as our good brother Lenny Kravitz once said, “It ain’t over ‘til it’s over.” You’ve got three months left to make an impact. Pick one goal you can realistically tackle before the clock strikes 2025. Maybe it’s finally organizing that closet or getting back into your fitness groove. Focus on small, actionable steps, and remember: done is better than perfect.
Visualize It
You don’t have to wait until Jan 1st to start planning your goals. Get a jump-start by creating a 2025 vision board now. Whether you go old-school with scissors and magazines (my personal fave) or make a digital board on Pinterest, fill it with the images and words that inspire you. Seeing your goals in front of you every day can be the motivation you need to bring them to life.

Recharge Your Battery
We’ve heard it a million times, and it’s the truth: you cannot pour from an empty cup. The holiday season is creeping up on us, with all its hustle, stress, and drama (e.g., Thanksgiving dinner shade from that problematic Auntie). So before you’re knee-deep in gift shopping and family politics, carve out some me time. Whether it’s a solo spa day or a quiet weekend getaway, prioritize your well-being so you’ll have the energy to power through the rest of 2024 and glide into 2025 refreshed.
Be Specific
Vague goals like “get in shape” or “be more productive” won’t cut it. You’ve gotta get specific. Instead of saying, “I want to work out more,” try, “I’ll exercise three times a week for 30 minutes.” See the difference? Now you’ve got a clear, measurable target to hit. Start brainstorming actionable goals for 2025 now so when the new year comes, you’ll be ready to hit the ground running.
End the Year Strong
The moral of the story? It’s not too late to make this year count. Whether you’re wrapping up loose ends for 2024 or mapping out new opportunities for 2025, remember that every step you take—big or small—gets you closer to where you want to be. With a little focus and intention, you’ll end this year feeling accomplished and roll into next year full of purpose and passion. 🥂
